The Book Journey
The author is not the only one that took a journey. The book has taken it's own journey.
The book started out in an inspirational moment in my own journey. From there it went to paper. First telling why I wrote the book and: why it was something that I believed I could share that might help others along the way.
Faith and Conviction was born in 2023. It went through a process with a "publishing company" that charged an astronomical amount of money for the services they provided. What did they do for me? Provided a book cover and taught me how to self publish. They did not however do any of the things they promised and had contracted.
After writing another book, self publishing in 2024, alone this time, I realized Faith and Conviction was not getting any attention on line.
The manuscript was revisited. Some editing was done on the inside. A new cover was developed and applied as well as a new title. Something I thought would help people realize this was not another book full of scripture that preached at you.
In 2025 the book was released as a second edition. A new face and a new title: Faith vs Conviction Why am I falling apart?
The new title was shaped to show a difference in faith and conviction and that the book wasn't so much about scripture but the human spirit.
The context of the book was structured to feel like a conversation with the reader, not a here are my thoughts type of scenario. It was structured to give facts and background, the reasoning behind my use of each individual. It was structured to give the reader something to think about.
Still not gaining any sales traction in 2026 a press release went out across 400+ media outlets for all three of the books I have on the market. The results? Faith vs Conviction Why am I falling apart? is getting all the attention.
It now has a new banner to represent the book. It has a new description. It has new Amazon keywords to assist readers in finding it. It has enhanced and led to a greater outreach for a ministry through author branding.
It has become the book that book clubs across the world have said, "It made me stop scrolling." "The book sparked some conversations in our book club that we couldn't walk away from." "I just finished your book. It resonated with me so much I just had to reach out."
